Congratulations on choosing GOR-Isotopes. This tutorial demonstrates how to activate a license by a vendor-issued license file. GOR-Isotopes uses hardware-bond licensing. A license is installed on a designated computer where the GOR-Isotopes software is installed. The license can be transferred upon request if the software is transferred to a different computer or there is a significant change in the computer hardware.
Part 1: Getting ‘Machine ID*’
*Machine ID is a unique hardware identifier for the computer GOR-Isotopes is installed on.
After installation, launch GOR-Isotopes by either:
- Desktop icon
- Windows Start menu
If a license has not yet been installed, a dialog will pop up to remind the user to register the copy:
Click the Register button and the Machine ID will be displayed in a new window:
Copy and send the Machine ID to [email protected] with the user’s identity. The license file for this machine would be generated and emailed back to the user within one business day.
Part 2: Installing License File
Once the license file is received, launch GOR-Isotopes as administrator, and repeat the steps in Part 1 until the Request License window shows up. Click the Open License button. Locate and choose the license file to complete the installation.
